About Me

Welcome to my blog which discusses the theory of Theistic Evolution. This page is not dedicated to ending the centuries old ideological conflict between religion and science, however to support the potential interlinking between the two - the link that both faith and knowledge as an ongoing journey. The Theistic Evolutionist is my attempt to present scientific articles and essays that discuss the evolutionary process as a valuable tool of an Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent Creator. I welcome all comments, arguments, conflicting evidence - this is a debate friendly blog!

"The ability to think rationally, to examine critically, to doubt and to test should be understood by the religious as a God-given endowment that can, should, and is being put to use in the realm of science."

A Sunday School Lesson on Faith and Science for Gov. Perry and Rep. Bachmann

Religion and science share a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty and complexity of this world. The religious and scientific minds are best joined by a sense of honest humility about what we don't know, an excitement about what is yet to be revealed through deep examination, and an abiding hope in the potential of these discoveries for making life on this earth better for all.

Can You Believe in God and Evolution? By STEVEN PINKER

A collection of Professors and intelletuals provide an excellent arguement for the elvolutionary process and how the process can logically co-exist with our beliefs in an omnipotent God.

I see no conflict in what the Bible tells me about God and what science tells me about nature. Like St. Augustine in A.D. 400, I do not find the wording of Genesis 1 and 2 to suggest a scientific textbook but a powerful and poetic description of God's intentions in creating the universe. The mechanism of creation is left unspecified. If God, who is all powerful and who is not limited by space and time, chose to use the mechanism of evolution to create you and me, who are we to say that wasn't an absolutely elegant plan? And if God has now given us the intelligence and the opportunity to discover his methods, that is something to celebrate.
